Employment Opportunity - Director of Fisheries

Millbrook First Nation is seeking an experienced and strategic leader to oversee fisheries operations and guide the continued development of our Commercial Fishing Enterprise (CFE). Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director of Fisheries will manage day-to-day departmental operations, support commercial success, advance our moderate livelihood plan, and nurture relationships with partners, government, and community members. The role includes leadership in policy development, resource management, crew oversight, compliance, funding agreements, and collaboration with the Mi’kmaw Conservation Group and industry partners.

The ideal candidate brings extensive commercial fisheries experience, strong business and administrative skills, knowledge of federal and provincial fisheries policy, and the ability to lead people, operations, and community-based initiatives.

This is a full-time position located onsite at the Millbrook Fisheries Administration Office and offers competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, a 32-hour compressed work week, and paid holidays.
