This centre is a cornerstone of our community—a space where ancient traditions, language, art, and stories are preserved and shared. It strengthens cultural pride, educates visitors, and creates meaningful connections between generations. Open year‑round and fully accessible, the centre also features a Mi’kmaw‑crafted gift shop and hosts workshops such as drum‑making and cultural storytelling.

Confederacy of Mainland Mi’kmaq (CMM)
The Confederacy of Mainland Mi’kmaq is a Mi’kmaw Tribal Council, incorporated in 1986 and based in Millbrook, that supports eight member First Nations across mainland Nova Scotia—including Annapolis Valley, Bear River, Glooscap, Millbrook, Paq’tnkek, Pictou Landing, Sipekne’katik, and Acadia. The CMM delivers a wide array of community-driven services—ranging from health and social programs to governance, infrastructure, and environmental initiatives—guided by the goal of self-determination and enhanced community well-being. Nova Scotia Native Women’s Association — Millbrook Resilience Centre
The Resilience Centre in Millbrook First Nation, operated by the Nova Scotia Native Women’s Association (NSNWA), is a transformative space for Indigenous women, girls, and gender-diverse people. It delivers trauma-informed, culturally grounded programs that promote holistic wellness—spanning spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical health. Dedicated to fostering healing and empowerment, the centre offers culturally relevant services and supports aimed at strengthening safety, community connection, and resilience within the broader Indigenous community
