From voices to vision

Through a series of workshops, community members came together to create a star quilt that reflects our shared values, culture, and hopes for the future. More than an artwork, the quilt represents the voices, connections, and aspirations that shaped our Community Plan.

The quilt was displayed at Nocturne in 2023, an art festival in Kjipuktuk (Halifax), and in 2025 it received an international award for Great Place Art from the Environmental Design Research Association.

The Quilt is a powerful reflection of the strength and vision of the Millbrook community.
