The Communications Department helps our members stay well-informed and engaged through different communication methods and activities. Our goal is to promote transparent, accurate and timely communication that enhances community engagement, supports cultural heritage and strengthens the bonds within Millbrook First Nation.

Our goal is to keep our community informed and connected. We work hard to build understanding, trust, and unity through clear and open communication. Using both modern technology and traditional methods, we strive to ensure everyone stays engaged and up-to-date.

What We Do

Internal Communications: We facilitate clear and consistent communication within the community, ensuring that members are aware of important news, events, and developments. This includes newsletters, emails and community meetings.
External Communications: Our team manages relationships with external stakeholders, including media, government agencies, and other organizations. We ensure that Millbrook First Nation’s voice is heard and represented accurately in all external communications.
Public Relations: We handle public relations efforts to promote the achievements and initiatives of Millbrook First Nation. This includes press releases, media statements, and managing our presence in the public eye.
Digital Media: We oversee the community’s digital platforms, including our website and social media channels. Our goal is to provide engaging and informative content that reflects the values and vibrancy of our community.
Events: Our department plays a key role in promoting community events and activities. We work to ensure high participation and engagement, celebrating our culture and achievements together.
Cultural Promotion: We are dedicated to preserving and promoting our rich cultural heritage. This includes sharing stories, traditions, and cultural events with both our community and the wider public.
