Employment Opportunity -Commercial Fisheries Manager

Millbrook First Nation is seeking an effective and self-motivated applicants for the position of Commercial Fisheries Manager.

Position Summary:

The Commercial Fisheries Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operational delivery of Millbrook First Nation's Communal Commercial (CC) fishery portfolio, including lobster, snow crab, and tuna operations.

This is an operational leadership role. The Manager implements management plans set by the Director and Associate Director of Fisheries, and works in close coordination with the FSC and Livelihood Manager, the Vessel Safety and Fleet Coordinator, and the Fisheries Technician/Monitor. The Manager provides operational direction to CC captains and crews; provides hiring input on captain and crew selection; and escalates performance, conduct, and personnel matters to the Associate Director of Fisheries, who is the decision authority for those matters.

The Commercial Fisheries Manager also acts as the operational backup to the Associate Director of Fisheries during periods of her absence, covering urgent operational matters across the Fisheries department. Strategic, budgetary, and personnel decisions during such absences are escalated to the Director of Fisheries.

Salary: 85K – 100K based on qualifications and experience
