Security and Bylaw

Millbrook has established its own Security and Bylaw teams to monitor the safety and security of our community, to de-escalate situations through member-to-member relationships and to coordinate emergency response efforts with bylaw officers and the RCMP.

In cases of emergency always DIAL 9-1-1

Our Millbrook Security and Bylaw team is responsible for:

  • Completing wellness checks for community members

  • Intervention for suicidal individuals (All security members have Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training) - If someone’s life is in danger, always call 911 first.

  • Distributing NARCAN, Fentanyl testing strips and disposable needles

  • Providing mobile defibrillator access

  • Helping community members access services such as Kids Help Phone, NS Mental Health Crisis, NS Help Line, Mi’kmaq Crisis Line
